We have lived in the same house in the Southall subdivision in Raleigh for the past 35 years. Our subdivision was still being built out and had many empty lots when we first moved here. My wife and I raised our two kids here. I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan with the US Air Force during the Gulf War while my wife took care of the kids and my aged, ill, parents here in our home in Southall. And now we are empty nesters who (with the kids all settled and moved away) finally have our independence back.
We love our house, our neighbors, and our town. So much so that we never ever considered moving! Atul Goel |
